Hi, thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.
Throughout 2010, I will be posting regular updates of my season competing in the all new Ducati 848 Challenge.
So to begin, I guess the start of it all is to turn a regular Ducati 848 into a competitive race bike. Thanks to a great deal with Ducati Manchester, the leading Ducati dealership in the UK my first Ducati arrived home on the 17th January.
- Chief Mechanic Stuart (AKA Dad) needed a little help gettin on…………..
In addition to the support from Ducati Manchester, BenGarnerRacing.com has also secured sponsorship from QB Carbon and Speedycom.co.uk.
QB carbon have supplied all the bodywork for the 2010 season, finished in Ducati Red. All the bodywork you see in the photos (to be added) are not painted yet, and I think you’ll agree the finish and colour match is outstanding! In all my years of racing I have never had a fairing of such high quality. Thank you Ian and the rest of the team at QB Carbon for an outstanding job!
Speedcom.co.uk have supplied a number of essential race parts needed for 2010. The list so far (as I’m sure i will be in contact for more bits and bobs in the near future) includes, Zard Exhausts, Pazzo Levers, air filter, Bonamici rearsets and GPR steering damper. I would like to say a massive thankyou to Ian and the team at Speedcom.co.uk for the support this year, without your help, support and product knowledge I wouldn’t have been able to get the bike ready for the season ahead! Thanks guys!
I’m still looking desperately seeking sponsorship to help with the racing cost of 2010, if you would like to be a part of the team please don’t hesitate to get in contact! Thanks again for taking the time out to catch up with whats going on and I’ll be posting again very soon!
Ben
